The last thirty minutes of our flight from Sydney to Queenstown was unexpectedly beautiful. We flew over Millford Sound, an extremely scenic area, with snow capped mountains, sheer cliffs and valleys. You could see Mount Cook, the highest in New Zealand, and the whole plane load – even those who had flown to Queenstown before – were stunned by the serenity. We could not help taking a photo and filming as soon as we landed. The rest of the day was spent exploring the town and making sense of the huge array of adventure sports available. By night, we had agreed on a few things, and were excited about the following days to come.
